The coach
Joseph Honeycutt.Trainer first,friend right after.
Why I started
I got into training because I love to motivate, love being active, and love watching somebody change — not just their body, their whole lifestyle.
That's the part that hooked me and it still does. Somebody walks in unsure of themselves, and a few months later they're the person who goes to the gym. Same guy, different life.
So when I opened Cutta fitness here in Palmdale, I didn't build it for people who already love training. They don't need me. I built it for the guy who's been meaning to start for a year and keeps not starting, because walking into a gym with no idea what you're doing is genuinely uncomfortable and nobody says that out loud.
My clients are mostly total beginners: men who want to lose weight, build muscle, and get stronger and more confident. A lot of them work shifts. The plan bends around the schedule, because the schedule isn't going to bend around the plan.
“What I do differently is I don't just want to be your trainer I wanna be a friend someone that you trust I refuse to let my clients quit we will work through it no matter what”
Warm and direct
I'll tell you the truth about your week and I'll say it like a friend, not a drill sergeant. Plain English, no jargon, no lecture.
Taught, not assigned
You don't get a PDF and a good-luck. Basic strength movements get taught slowly, on the floor, until they belong to you.
Nobody quits quietly
Quitting happens on a bad Tuesday, not in the gym. If you go quiet, you'll hear from me. We work through it no matter what.
Work Hard. Laugh Often.
The work is heavy. The mood doesn'thave to be.
I was the guy cracking jokes long before I was the guy coaching, and I've stopped apologising for it, because it turns out humour is a coaching tool. A beginner who is laughing is a beginner who isn't scared, and a beginner who isn't scared learns the movement twice as fast.
So we take the training completely seriously and ourselves not at all. Bad set, weird noise, wobbly first rep — we'll laugh about it and then do it properly. What I won't joke about is your effort, your body, or where you're starting from. Those get respect every single session.
One step, that's it
Let's get youstronger and more confident.
Send me a message and tell me where you're starting. I'll take it from there — and I refuse to let you quit on it.
