Lose the weight.Build the muscle.Walk in like you belong.

“I don't just want to be your trainer I wanna be a friend someone that you trust.” In-person coaching in Palmdale for men starting from scratch — no fads, no lectures, no feeling lost on the gym floor.

“I refuse to let my clients quit”

Strength first.Fat loss thatsurvives the month.

I coach general fitness with a focus on strength training, fat loss, muscle building, and improving overall conditioning.

That means bodybuilding-style workouts built on basic strength movements, with cardio that fits your week instead of running it. Push, pull, squat, hinge, carry. Taught slowly, in plain English, until it stops feeling foreign.

Food stays simple on purpose: protein at every meal, a moderate deficit, meals you actually like. If a plan needs you to be perfect, it isn't a plan — it's a dare.

And when a week falls apart, we don't blow the whole thing up. We find the one thing that slipped, fix it, and keep going.

See how training works

What changes

Stronger and moreconfident — in thatorder.

  • Weight comes off week by week

Honest pace, tracked as a weekly average instead of a daily mood swing.

  • Muscle you can actually see

Strength work protects the muscle while the fat leaves, so you get smaller and denser, not smaller and softer.

  • The gym stops being a test

You learn the movements well enough that walking in is just a Tuesday.

  • Habits that outlive the plan

Protein, steps, sleep, and training that still work on a night shift.

I want to lose weight, build muscle, and feel confident in the gym without feeling lost or overwhelmed.
What the men I coach ask me for

If this sounds familiar

You're not out of shape. You're out of a plan.

Nobody in that building is watching your set. The gym floor isn't a stage and you're not auditioning — but knowing that doesn't help while you're standing there guessing.

I've lost weight before and it all came back.
I don't know what to do once I'm in there, so I do cardio and leave.
My shift wrecks my eating and my sleep.
I keep telling myself I'll start next month.

None of that is a willpower problem. It's a structure problem, and structure is the part you hire me for.

Serious coaching. We just don't takeourselves seriously.

I'm Joseph Honeycutt. I got into training because I love to motivate, love being active, and love watching somebody change — not just their body, their whole lifestyle.

Cutta fitness is one year old and built for the guy who has been meaning to start for a year. The work is heavy. The mood doesn't have to be. You're allowed to be bad at something in front of me — everyone in that building was bad at it once, me included.

The founding roster

Be My NextSuccess Story.

Cutta fitness is one year in. That means you are not client number four hundred in a spreadsheet — you get my attention, my phone number, and a coach who notices when you go quiet for a week.

Client results are coming soon. I would rather show you real ones than made-up ones.

So there is nothing on this page pretending to be someone else's before-and-after. There is just an open spot, a plan built for a beginner, and me refusing to let you quit on it.

What a founding client gets

  • A first session built around what you can do today, not what an athlete can do.
  • Strength movements taught slowly, in plain English, until they stop feeling foreign.
  • Training that bends around shift work instead of pretending your schedule is normal.
  • Honest timelines. Weight comes off week by week, not in a weekend.

Four steps.No initiation ritual.

This is the whole process, start to first session.

  1. I

    You get in touch

One message telling me where you're starting. You don't need to get in shape before you talk to a trainer — that's backwards.

  2. II

    We talk it through

Your schedule, your shift, what you've tried, what you hated, any injuries. Real answers only — I can't plan around the polite version.

  3. III

    I build the plan

Strength movements and conditioning you can actually run, plus simple food targets. Built for your week, not a magazine's week.

  4. IV

    We work through it

In-person sessions, movements taught until they're yours, weekly check-ins on the average. If you go quiet, you'll hear from me.

Frequently asked questions

I've lost weight before and gained it all back.+

Then you already know how to lose weight — the part that failed was the plan you were supposed to live on afterwards. So we build the eating and training around your real schedule from day one, keep the deficit moderate, and put strength work at the centre so you keep the muscle. When the weight is off, the routine you're already running becomes the maintenance plan. Nothing to switch back from.

I hate dieting.+

Good, because I don't run diets with rules and forbidden foods. Protein at every meal, a moderate deficit, and meals built out of food you actually like. Nothing is banned. If you tell me you eat at 11pm after a shift, we plan for the 11pm meal instead of pretending it won't happen.

I don't have any willpower.+

You have as much as everyone else — you've just been handed plans that needed a perfect week to work. Willpower is a terrible engine anyway. Structure and accountability do the heavy lifting: a plan sized to your worst week, and a coach who notices when you go quiet. I refuse to let my clients quit, and that's the actual service.

I'm a total beginner and I feel out of place in the gym.+

That's exactly who I built this for. We start with what you can do today, movements get taught slowly and in plain English, and I'm standing next to you while the room stops feeling like a test. Being lost is temporary and it's a coaching problem, not a character flaw.

I work shifts. Can this even work?+

Yes, and it has to be designed for it, not squeezed into it. We pick a realistic number of sessions, plan food for the hours you're actually awake, and use steps and sleep as the levers when training days move. The plan bends around your schedule.

How fast will I see results?+

Honest version: about half a pound to two pounds a week once things are steady, with a bigger drop in the first couple of weeks that's mostly water. Strength usually moves before the scale looks impressive, and photos every four weeks tell the truth better than the daily number.
